Make a separate PDF for each JPG or PNG

Convert a group of images into individual PDF files in a ZIP instead of merging every image into one PDF.

Separate PDFs are useful when each photograph, scanned receipt or form belongs to a different record. The important control is the merge checkbox: it changes the output grouping, not the picture content. This workflow avoids creating a merged PDF and then splitting it simply to recover one file per image.

Follow this workflow

  1. Add the JPG or PNG files. Remove unwanted images and inspect their rotations before deciding how to group the output.
  2. Turn off Merge all images in one PDF. Keep the option on only when the recipient wants a single multi-page document.
  3. Choose page size, orientation and margin. Review the preview because every individual PDF uses the chosen layout options.
  4. Convert, save the ZIP, extract it locally and open a sample from the beginning and end. Check file names before attaching documents to separate records.

Check the downloaded result

  • The downloaded file is a ZIP and extracts without errors.
  • The number of PDFs equals the number of selected images.
  • Each PDF contains the correct image, not an assumed file order.

When to use another export method

An archive is a download container, not a combined PDF. Some recipient systems do not accept ZIP files; extract and send the individual PDFs when necessary.

Will disabling merge remove an image?

No. It changes how results are packaged. Remove an image from the selection if it should not be converted.
