How it works

Assemble a packet containing existing PDF documents and separate scans or photos. Unlike an images-only conversion or a PDFs-only merge, this workflow accepts both together and carries each converted image directly into the merge. Move files up or down before running it.

Check your result

  • Check that image pages appear between the correct PDF documents in the order you selected.
  • Existing PDF pages retain their dimensions; each image creates one page at image size (0.75 PDF points per pixel, bounded by the PDF page-size limit).
  • Check that transparent PNG edges look correct and that filled PDF form values remain visible.

Supported files and limits

2–20 PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG files, up to 50 MiB each, 100 MiB total and 300 output pages. HEIC, TIFF and encrypted PDFs are not accepted. Image pages use image dimensions, no extra margins and no rotation. Existing PDF forms are flattened to retain visible values; document-level bookmarks and settings are not preserved. This workflow does not compress the result or guarantee a common paper size.

Do I need to convert my photos before merging them with a PDF?

No. Choose both the existing PDFs and the images on this page, arrange the file order, then run the workflow. Each image becomes a PDF page before merging. For images only, the standard JPG to PDF tool already supports combining them and offers A4, Letter and margin controls.
