Convert widescreen PPTX slides to PDF
Keep a widescreen presentation’s slide dimensions in PDF instead of squeezing slides onto portrait paper.
A slide is a document page with its own size. A widescreen deck is usually intended to retain its wide layout when shared on screens. The converter reads presentation dimensions; printer paper selection is a later decision. A white margin introduced by a print dialog does not necessarily mean the PDF changed the slide size.

Follow this workflow
- Check the slide size in the source presentation and save the PPTX. Confirm whether the deck is actually widescreen or uses a custom size.
- Add it to PowerPoint to PDF. Avoid rotating the whole file unless the entire document needs a quarter-turn.
- Convert and open the PDF. Inspect page dimensions and compare the first slide with the source, especially objects close to the edges.
- When printing, choose appropriate paper orientation and scaling in the print dialog. Keep the screen-sharing PDF separately if a paper-specific version is required.
Check the downloaded result
- PDF aspect ratio matches the source slide dimensions.
- Full-width backgrounds and edge objects are visible.
- The slide count and PDF page count agree.
When to use another export method
Keeping page dimensions does not guarantee matching fonts, text wrapping or unsupported Office effects. Check those separately before sharing.
Does the converter force A4 pages?
No. PPTX conversion uses presentation slide dimensions. The A4 and Letter controls belong to JPG to PDF, not the PPTX tool.
