Is adding a watermark with PDFPilot really free?
Yes. Image Watermark is completely free to use, with no sign-up or account required.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The watermark is drawn entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image is never uploaded to PDFPilot's servers.
Can I control where the watermark appears?
Yes. Choose a position on the nine-point grid or enter precise horizontal and vertical percentages. Each text or logo layer has its own size, rotation, opacity and repeat setting, with a preview before saving.
Can I adjust how visible the watermark is?
Yes, using the opacity slider — from a very subtle 5% up to a fully solid 100%.
What image formats are supported?
You can upload JPG, PNG, or WEBP. The watermarked image is saved in the same format as your original.
Can I use my own logo as a watermark instead of text?
Yes. Add PNG, JPG or WEBP logos alongside text watermarks, with up to ten layers. Transparent PNG logos preserve the image beneath them. You can apply the same watermark layers to a batch and download a ZIP.
